Community Picnic
The Community Picnic on June 8 began with former Pastor Bob Alexander giving the morning message. Pastor Alexander and his wife Gail traveled from Columbus to take part in a day of celebration honoring the Church and Neighborhood Center’s anniversaries. Pastor Alexander was instrumental in the formation of the Neighborhood Center while he was pastor here. The Community Picnic immediately followed the worship service. There was food, games, tours, and fellowship. Many community partners attended the event as well, including Toledo Fire and Rescue and UT Health and Wellness.
Tracci Johnson, Executive Director of the Neighborhood Center, presented a birthday cake honoring twenty-five years of service to the community. Pastor Alexander, Pastor Wynn, Current Pastor of Monroe Street, and Tracci Johnson expressed gratitude for having established the Neighborhood Center, for the relationship the Church and Neighborhood Center have, and for the outreach we provide to our neighborhood.
What a wonderful way to celebrate the anniversaries with our neighbors.
