Choir Reunion Weekend
The Choir reunion weekend rekindled friendships and created a sense of community, belonging and purpose! On Saturday afternoon, 65 past and present choir members and four choir directors joined together to prepare for a special Sunday morning worship service celebrating the bicentennial year.
On Saturday evening, Dr. Aaron Miller, renowned organist, performed an organ concert of selected pieces along with a section of improvisations on well-known church hymns.
For Sunday, former directors Clarence Smith, Christopher Coons, Stephen Schall, and Aaron Miller each selected a piece for this unique celebration during our Sunday morning worship, including a featured choral piece performed and written for the occasion by Dr. Aaron Miller. The service offered an unforgettable performance of music and scripture fitting for our 200th anniversary.
Thanks to Kris Davis for her help and support throughout the weekend!
A very special thanks to Lou D’Amato for planning and organizing this event, including reaching out to past members and directors.
