Marriage Celebration and Vow Renewal

In a grand celebration of love, nearly 70 members and friends gathered during worship on Sunday, February 16, to pay tribute to marriage. As part of our 200th-anniversary observation, the joyous occasion brought couples together from near and far to celebrate our church’s rich heritage and legacy. Couples included recent marriages, multiple generations, and longevity (over 65 years). During the service, Marcia Frederick highlighted that from 1825 through 2025, over 1,500 marriages occurred at Monroe Street Church. After the service, Pastor Joshua Wynn performed a vow renewal for couples who wished to participate. A lovely wedding cake made by Wendy Jackson was served and enjoyed by all.
